(Right now, I'm obsessed with getting a potato. I had to wait a whole year for winter to roll around again, but we're going to get that potato.)

No, and not in a good way. There are occasions when it is for me, but they're either a) of my own making or b) when I have extremely large households. Even then, once I learned to manage everyone I didn't bat an eye.
I like a lot of the things in Sims 4 (CAS, BB, toddlers, seasons). I also dislike a lot of things, and the lack of challenge is one of them. I feel needs are easy to keep high, skills easy to learn, relationships easy to make, emotions/traits easy to override or change. Most jobs and aspirations are not difficult for me either. It wouldn't bother me as much if there were some sort of stakes or consequences in the game, but I've yet to have an accidental death, an alien pregnancy, a chance card firing or demotion, etc. Where's the realism?
I don't want bad things to happen necessarily but if it's just happy and easy all the time it gets boring for me. "Variety is the spice of life" and all that.
ETA: I think it would be cool to have a "difficulty level" to suit different player's needs. The higher the difficulty, the more random events, bad things, and the harder needs are to keep high.
I want more random events to the more the better and they wouldn't all have to have drama they could be funny sometimes to"luxsylvan;c-16932086" wrote:

Sims 2 is brutal. I could barely satisfy my sims basic needs such as hunger and sleep due to lack of time. That game is pretty neat, but it becomes frustrating for that reason. - JestTru7 years agoSeasoned AceI don't think it's challenging at all. It's fun, relaxing, and I enjoy the creativity the game offers.
The only challenge I face is the wait between packs and new info for the game. "leetamme;c-16932603" wrote:

the wait for new packs is hard- Having baby triplets can be sort of challenging, but that's pretty much it.
- Duhgirl2u27 years agoSeasoned AceNot at all challenging. Its a great game, but its not challenging. Any game that can play itself for 8+ hours and no one dies...not challenging. (I discovered the 8+hours thing the day I forgot to turn off or pause the game before heading off to work)
That said, I love the game and have an astonishing (to me) 3500 hours played. So the lack of challenge doesn't really affect my enjoyment of this one I'd say. - ClassicalSim17 years agoSeasoned AceNot really, but I've never played any iteration of The Sims to be challenged. I play it to be creative and to relax.
- Oh, I misinterpreted your poll. I find ts4 challenging to keep my attention for very long. For me, it is a very boring game with little to offer. Particularly compared to previous iterations.
