Do you like other time periods?

I am a bit of a history geek, so I would love a historical pack or game. It was difficult for me to vote as I liked so many of the options, but I would especially love something Medieval, Renaissance, or Victorian themed. I think the 50s would be great too.

My heart is in the bronze age. No question.

But I'd probably take any historically themed pack provided it goes back at least 100 years.

I'm a big fan of history, so yes, I would set up a separate save for historic play. I play a modern save because I don't want to deal with immersion-breaking technology or tearing everything down. I got the Vampires pack, basically for the Victorian content.

I'd be interested in medieval but voted for Renaissance. Medieval and Renaissance can sometimes go together since there was a gradual transition in some places and levels of society. Yes, I know the differences but the medieval era was kind of a spectrum. Anyway, I think the content could be combined.

I'd also be interested in Roman/Greek/Ancient Civilizations/China/Egypt, more Victorian content and more 20th century content with accurate technology. I do play with some historic clothing and styles, but my main save is completely modern.

I had Sims Medieval and played it between Sims 3 and Sims 4. I'd have interest in a reboot. Paleo societies are cool too. I've been lucky to see some ruins.

Pre-historic, Medieval and Old West sounds intressting to me :).

I had a hard time choosing between medieval and renaissance. I went with renaissance in the end but they have equal votes in my head.

I voted medieval but I'd also go for Victorian or Renaissance.

So far I've played both Paleo- and Neolithicum, Imperial Rome, Oldwest, Settlement of Australia and post-WW II, with Oldwest being my favorite.

I'm skewed towards a supernatural playstyle, though. Every time I attempt medieval gameplay it quickly turns into fantasy instead, the Oldwest/Australia saves had strong steampunk components, the stone age saves had aliens and the late 40s save was just begging to get some aliens, too.

70s/80s sound good, but coming from the eastern side of the Iron Curtain my 70s/80s were probably very different from how EA would present them. Many fashion trends, TV shows, movies, phone models and so on that I associate with my teenhood (90s) seem to actually have been 80s phenomens.

I'm not sure how a post-WWII/Cold War Iron Curtain era would translate into a Sims type game. It might be tricky doing that without being insensitive or insulting. I'm curious, what is your Settlement of Australia save like? I wish the polls could include more than 10 options. I could have combined the Old West and Victorian periods, they were just different cultural groups. I might do another poll later.

I haven't touched that save in a long time, but it followed the rules of the Settler Challenge. Appearance-wise I use very little cc and, yes, basically everything that wouldn't have looked out of place in an Oldwest setting was fair game for my sims to own and wear.

The first community lot was a bar owned by my family, tying in with the history of the "rum rebellion" - officers withholding rum rations from the convicts and instead selling them. My main family was involved in this.
When I earned more families to add, I declared some of them settlers and others convicts and kept the groups seperate at first. But later the original convicts had established themselves as explorers, curators and community leaders, so marrying a Blackbird clan member was actually marrying up, not down, despite their roots. Nowadays every family is blood-related to the founders, therefore the need to bring in the occasional convict.
Note that I still have convicts in 1890 and a spaceship on my main family's lot, because at some point I went the alternate history path.
