Do You Like The New Main Menu?

For me I don't mind the news part but I really don't like the part on the right. It just doesn't fit the rest of the look. They've used geometric lighter blue shapes and then there's a random dark blue gradient? And the shape of it makes it look like a mobile app. It just looks off to me.

In my opinion it would've been a lot better if they stuck with the conventional look and did something like this:

I've surprised myself by kinda liking the new main menu. It has a lot of stuff without looking too busy. They picked good things to have there. While I'm sad about losing the pack icons, I think it would look cluttered if they remained on the main page.

I think the design could be a little bit better.
The "My Home"... "Packs" part is so not obvious. I wouldn't realize it's a button I can click on? Or maybe it isn't even a button? I don't know cuz I haven't even opened my game. So don't yell at me please. ? I'm merely just judging it from these pics. But... it looks like when you are loading a Web page and it doesn't load right and all the page is just a bare html type of look. ?

The blue part is off cuz of the gradient. I would have just stuck with geometric shapes of slightly different shades for the background rather than a smooth gradient. Gradients are so 90's. ?

I must add that I love the gradient part. I absolutely hate the geometric shapes thing that they have going on. Anything else is a huge plus :joy:

Either way, I know I'm just blabbering about designs and stuff. ? Can't help it cuz I'm a graphic designer. But like, I don't think it matters anyways how the main menu looks like cuz we're just gonna look at it for 3 seconds. ? I still think the "My Home" button could be a bit better tho. LOL. Like at least put it in a box so it stands out. ?‍♀️

It's too bright and busy and I don't really need the news. And I get why people don't like all the packs shown on the main page, but now I'm afraid I'll miss a good sale. ?

I wish menu was just white and simple.

I have not downloaded the update but I like that they are not listing all the packs anymore on the main page. I agree that the My Home and Packs "button" looks a bit eh... I think the rest looks good.

I like the new menu as its quite reminiscent of the sims 3 launcher.... don't judge me.

I don't like or hate it. I do like that the packs are on the next page, but, I liked the smaller icons rather than the whole box art. I do love the greeting at the top though, I know it's just a random saying and we all get the same ones, but it makes me feel special anyways. :D

I think it’s just their graphics that are off-putting. Ok so maybe the layout of the entire strip where the title is too. But if you like strip it down to its core—sans all the sims superimposed on geometric cyan-ish backgrounds cards jarring with the snowy escape card—it’s a rather nice layout...I think ?
