Do you multitask(in RL) while Simming and will you do it with Sims 4 also?

I often listen to music, but that's because I have the in game music turned off. I can't pay attention to TV while playing so I don't. I will sometimes eat. I may be texting/messaging someone but I'll pause the game while reading and responding. If it seems I'm paused more than I'm not I'll turn the game off. I read on my phone while the game is loading and while it is saving. I don't plan to play TS4 so can't answer that question.
