I chat with my friends on google hangouts while I play all my games. I'm sure when I'm playing 4 a lot of the chatting will be about the game since these are all friends I've made from the TS3 store forum daily deal thread and only some of us are getting 4 right from the start. I also watch videos and stuff if they link to them, and I also check my facebook. For me it really doesn't have anything to do with how engaging the game is. I'm just pretty much always on chat with my friends regardless of what I'm doing. They're just so awesome :D
edit: I don't spend all my time glued to my smartphone when I leave the house. I very rarely text when I am out in public, only if someone texts me something that requires a response. I only make phone calls or text when I am out in public if I need to ask someone a question relevant to what I am doing (usually shopping). And I only listen to music when I am cleaning, showering, or working out. I kind of resent the statement about not being able to control ourselves, tbh
