Playing as my simself just does not appeal to me. I do not judge others for it though.
I prefer playing with various different characters. It is much more like creating my tv show in which I flip between characters and settings. I don't like thinking of it as a soap opera. I don't play it that dramatically. I just like seeing how the various sims interact and make life choices as they run into each other and experience different settings. They live in their own world.
If a pack comes out to increase the drama in the game, I would be interested just because I might like to add some to certain households.
