- I always have my headphones plugged. If I'm building or in CAS I take the headphones off and watch some TV or listen to a podcast. If I am in live mode then I put my headphones on because the sounds are gorgeous in this game.
- Yes - I have music and sounds on - sometimes even turn the music louder if I like the song. LOL. I don't do earphones - but no need. Hubby is usually on his own pc gaming in a different room and he has surround sound - going. I guess we just like our game sounds. LOL. I've always liked the Sims music personally.
- I rarely play SIms with sound nowadays.
Last time I rather regularly played Sims with sound may have been with Sims 2.
I really loved the college rock radio of Sims 2 university ... especially the simlish version of The Perishers - Sway - I play with music off but all other sound effects on - and I use headphones. Especially with Seasons I think the sounds really enhance the gameplay. The rain, the thunder, the birds chirping and dogs barking in the neighborhood... My game just wouldn't be the same without the sounds.
When I build I don't have sound on though - I listen to music. - I play with music off and sounds effect on while I watch Sims 4 stream in Twitch. Playing without watching anyone stream sims 4 seems so dull

On and with earphones. Absolutely love the sound of rain, thunder and lightning.

Sway is my fav too in Sims 2.- DominoBean217 years agoLegendI have the game muted. I've had it like that for so long (over a year) that it's weird when I have sound turned on. Spotify is usually playing in the background so that's what I game to. xD

I need to be 'in' my game when I play. Everything quiet around me so that I can immerse myself and hear all the game sounds. - What's funny is in the past, I used to love playing with the sound on and it drove me crazy if it was off.
Over the past few years, however, possibly due to also playing games on mobile devices in public where I need to have sound off, I've actually gotten into the habit of turning sound off on most of my games. Sometimes or under certain circumstances or certain games, I may have sound going but have to rely on headphones (as there are other people living with me to consider).
