I used to age up babies really fast, but since Parenthood I've kept them as babies longer because caring for them is an easy way to build up Parenting skill especially with the firstborn. Makes it a little quicker to get to the later stages by the time they age up and need more care.
I've never aged up babies before their time, but I've certainly been tempted since their cry is so grating on the nerves. But, as the Simmer I've quoted says, caring for them is an easy way to build the Parenting skill. They're kind of boring, but their coos when you cuddle them are sweet to hear at least. :)
