I didn't hear anything about them not respawning if you delete them. What I did hear was that if you cheat!edit their home, they'll not stay in their assigned areas of it because it will break the routing set up for the house.
I was suprised to hear that Aine isn't one of the Sages, since the trailer made it look like she was giving the main Sim magic powers and turning him into a spellcaster. If she really isn't, I would guess that since there is no Sage for Alchemy, our own Sims could become one.
Agh, all this speculation and not knowing is killing me!
