Do you think they handle Goth update poorly?

Was someone replaced in game? Your post doesn't really have any context and Lore wise - they barely have any in Sims 4

The Goth's were replaced in all new saves from this point on. Start a new save and you have the new version instead.

I'm all for them adding lore (which they have not done yet) but changing the looks of the premades is pointless and such a waste of time.

Honestly I don't like the way the new version replaces the old even if its just new saves
putting them to gallery would have been enough given the changes

if they were really serious about making new better default starting save file
they should have made it all extra with whole goth family buried on their yard n all
that, would be called lore update.

With pronouns added in the game, I think they will slowly begin adding the refreshed households to get the lore ready. But I really hope they fix them if there is something wrong with them. For example, I don't prefer the new Goths that much although I have to say they improved Mortimer and Cassandra a lot. Bella is meh (her skintone doesn't exactly fit her, same for Cassandra) and Alexander.. we don't talk about that :D .

As for the lore, I don't think it has been added yet, and in fact, we might have to wait for a couple of months or even a year until it's added completely in the game.

We are currently in the process of updating NPCs in The Sims 4 including visuals as well as their lore. This will take some time to accomplish as we have to spend some time with each and every single Sim from Willow Creek to Henford-on-Bagley. That means we’re taking it step-by-step (or townie by townie) and we’re excited to update you at a later date.

Can't comment on this yet because there was no update to lore as of yet. They seem to be taking things step by step to guage feedback a little at a time. Also can't comment because I think all of this was an unnesarry request from simmers. (imo) I wish they had rallied for sims to have floor picnics or pillow fights or absolutely any other thing that adds depth and engagement or interactions during gameplay.
For those who wanted this that's perfectly fine I'm just stating my opinion based on my own gameplay.

I also Don't like when they replace hair or anything else in the game with a new version. There are always people who enjoy the old version of things.
It should be an addition.

I don't like the way they did this. Not everyone loves the pre-mades, even iconic ones like the Goth's, but those that do get very attached to them. It's a shame they have to take extra measures to keep the characters they love in the form they love. Any more updated pre-mades should be placed in the gallery and let people go get them if they want them.

For anyone who’s interested I saved the original Goths to my gallery both as a complete family unit and each individual sim completely unedited. My gallery I’d is Pamtastic72 and they’re saved under:

Goths-OG
Mortimer Goth-OG
Bella Goth-OG
Cassandra Goth-OG
Alexander Goth-OG

I like the new Mortimer, Cassandra, and Alexander but I’m not crazy about the new Bella so I may add the original back in. I always edit them if I’m going to play them anyway.
