I try to keep up with whatever story my wild imagination is driving at the time. I like to add lots by other builders for my SIMs to visit but play my own builds. If I am redoing a build it’s to refocus something. Example I will go push all my old detached garages to ground level because we no longer need them to have foundation. I have an older very interesting extensive build I was never happy with that I am going to add terrain sculpting to when I get to it. If I am wanting to do a renovated Victorian or arts and craft inspired build I would likely have a lot of Seasons and Vampire stuff and Cats and Dogs. MCM is so much fun with Bowling and Get Famous. Outdoor Retreat, Get Together and Seasons is another magical combination. Can’t imagine a modern build without Spa Day. So basically if I’m renovating an older build it’s to tune it with now available items to make it more what I wanted it to be like.
