Same here, except for CAS content. But one of my favorite things to do is add things like basements, and stairs leading to flat roofs, and if community lots my active Sim travels to have unused space, I love to edit that space so it is navigable wherever possible, adding a toilet and sink for instance in a 4x4 area designed like a pillar. I hate wasted space. All my vampires residences, unless they are apartments, have basements with coffins for sleeping, and other activities to occupy the vampires' time during daylight hours, or else a shed that opens upon a staircase leading down to a cellar.
I added the Get Famous video streaming station (I forget the official name for it) to a room I added on to Vlad's basement, and he has a blog and a social media profile, and is on his way to getting famous in one of my saves.
I always add lots from new packs when I can to old saves - almost every save of mine has the Oasis Springs bowling alley in either Newcrest or Oasis Springs, and the Pelican seafood restaurant from Dine Out in Brindleton Bay. Every save also has at least one experimental food restaurant, and a spa, more often than not the one created by Maxis for the pack.
As to CAS (Create a Sim) content, I often update looks for the default premade Sims who are already moved in, to styled looks from packs I have purchased, as additional outfits.
