Do you upgrade old homes and sims with new pack content?

My game is like a history book of styles! I just realized that I hardly ever upgrade my sims or their homes with new BB/CAS content. Most sims I created when I got base game, still have hair and clothing from the base game. Most houses never changed much, I mostly added objects with new functionallity, but hardly ever changed walls/floors and basic furniture.

When adding packs with a new world, there will of course be new homes and sims reflecting the new content in that new world. And, new sims growing up might get a more mixed style.

Willow Creek still ave the "brand new game" feel, a feel that is a bit worn by now, though. San Myshuno have the urban multi cultural feel that it brought to the game, I hardly changed anything. It's a bit cool that styles are still different from world to world, but I really should consider allowing my 2014 sims to a least try a newer hairdo! :)

How about you? Is your game a history book, too, or do all styles exist in all worlds?

@Simmerville: I always like the pre-made households and lots to reflect the new expansions. It would be so good if Maxis automatically updated them for us, and had different versions of them in the gallery (like the library in Willow Creek that was updated for toddlers).

Oh, I was not even aware that the library was updated for toddlers. I'll make sure to check the gallery more often.

I normally customize community lots, not necessarily for using new items, but to add more functionality. Like the Willow Creek library also have a community service desk and a café in the back.
