I just do not have enough time in a day to give proper attention to each sims needs and wants. One sim wants to learn her magic. Her sister is a baker and owns a retail bakery. Husband is in the military career and trying to advance. All while having a toddler who needs to build up their skills.
The days go so fast. Do you concentrate on one sim per day or try to multitask? I mean, if I'm at the Bakery with my one sim, that's all I can do. But if I'm back home, the other sim can practice her magic while dad trains for the military and both can help build skills with the toddler.
Just seems like the game's timer is too fast when you have so many sims to attend to.
If you got MCCC by way of clicking on a computer on the lot, you can go into the mccc settings > gameplay settings > game time speed > 25 to 250. once you do that, save your game, resttart the game and get back into the saved game. Once done, you'll find time is moving a lot slower and you can do so many things that you wouldn't be able to do otherwise.
once you adjusted on MCCC, go into the base game options > gameplay and set sim lifespan to long. Now you'll spend far more time than you could of ever imagined with your sims.
on default you'd be lucky to get level 4 skills on a toddler before the days run out, with the adjusted for settings in MCCC, you can easily reach level 5 and have so much time to do everything else you might be thinking of. but it does take a lot longer to level those skills out, but not nearly as much as you might suspect when it is all said and done, if you compared them, you could get level 9 maximum on every skill as a teenager, still a teenager well before your sim ever dies of old age. on base settings, you'd be lucky to get even close, let alone having the time to enjoy the gameplay.
i should let you know that certain repeatable animations don't play correctly, for example standing in front of a mirror practicing a speech, or bathing a toddler. they will delay for a bit before the animation plays again and moves that skill along if there is one that relies on the animation working.
