Back in TS2 (?) sims automatically got a ring on their finger when they married. And the ring stayed there. In TS4 sims don't get a ring unless we add it there manually in CAS.Do you give them a ring? Is there a certain CAS ring that you prefer, or do you vary? Do you use only rings for a certain finger?In a way I wish this would be handled by the game, should be a small thing to add a ring to all our outfits - it could perhaps be toggled on/off in settings. I don't do this manually, but have been thinking a bit to do something... It feels wrong that their fingers are free of rings when they are married.

Yes, all my married sims get rings on the traditional finger (unless I forget, which sometimes happens). For the women, the ring varies according to their financial situation. Usually for the men, due to less choices, I just give them all the same ring, but the poorer husbands get it in silver, while the ones with some money get it in gold.

I miss that little feature in Sims 2. It was quite touching at times too, because a widow would continue to wear their ring after their partner had passed away.

They did until I got Kijiko eyelashes skin version. Some reason beyond my knowledge the eyelashes don't work with rings.

Do your married sims carry a ring?

Yes, all my married sims get rings on the traditional finger (unless I forget, which sometimes happens). For the women, the ring varies according to their financial situation. I always give my married sims rings for every outfit except sleep and athletic. The same one and the same swatch. My females get the diamond one with the gold band and white diamond. The males get a light gold band. Those are the only ones that I think look close enough to actual traditional wedding rings.

Hmmm...my eyelashes (kijiko) are in eyeglasses. You can get them in skin detail, too, so they don't conflict with accessories, but I've been too lazy to go download that one yet.

The eyeglasses version of Kijiko’s lashes is a no-go because the lashes disappear when a sim is wearing glasses. Skin details is the best option imo, and it’s what I use. It only conflicts with rings.

I’d edit the slot myself in Sims4Studio but I don’t care enough about rings to be bothered.

I used to, but rings ruin the texture of nails, so it's either nails or rings, and I chose nails

I actually switched to the skin detail eyelashes cause it bothered me that my sims eyelashes would vanish whenever they wore outfits that are out of my control like work outfits. I do miss them wearing rings though. I wish skin details version could work without affecting the rings.

Yes I always give my married sims a ring. For women I usually give them the one with the big diamond (the one that the proposal animation uses) and for me I give them the plain band that goes on the ring finger.
