Do your sims get married to the same species?

I try my best to avoid occults, so it’s option one for me.

It depends on the gameplay/mood. If I want alien babies I might have my sim do it with an alien. :p

The "type" of occult doesn't really matter to me, I care more about whether or not the occult ages. I don't do aliens so they're excluded, but if I had a human/vampire couple, I get a bit sad to think that the vampire will go on living after their soulmate dies. Therefore I usually turn or cure one of the two.

I play with ts2 recreations, so most my houses are human/human.

The Curious bros apart from Lazlo married aliens. Ophelia married Johnny (alien), Jill (alien) will marry Buck, Jenny and PT9 are also alien/human. Lola Singles is currently dating a girl, and Chloe hooked up with another alien but I'm unsure if she's the marrying type anyway.

I don't do a lot of vampire pairings but I'm kinda waiting for the right child to be born who'd follow that line (most likely be Lolita Goth cause falling for an age old vampire is fitting without being as creepy as adult and kid). My Only married vampires are Vlad and a Persephone (greek) inspired wife who hates him for taking her away from the sun and fauna when he forcefully turned her.

I like having mixed families, like human/vamp families. :) I’m wanting to stir in some mermaids/merpeople to that mix now.

My sims who are vampires always marry a human, and let them be human the rest of their life except the one i truly care about which my sims usually turn them as well. It's pretty sad if you think avout it

I usually just pair my sims by personality or chemistry (and sometimes by looks.) Unless I'm telling a story, occult status doesn't matter. Even though I don't care for aliens all that much, quite a few of them found love in my game with various sims.

You have to understand that "marriage" is often fleeting when one lives forever. Vampire society is often fraught with political maneuver. What arrangement is beneficial today may not be so next century. It is often necessary to....dispose of the inconvenient as new conditions develop.
