I have an "angelic" toddler who literally nonstop makes a mess on the floor.Everytime she does it her parents discipline her. All of her skills over time have maxed out but nothing stops her. She has toys everywhere and wont touch them. If i tell her to play with something it cancels itself and she starts making messes instead. The only thing i can do is turn off free will but i dont like doing that.I was actually cracking up the other day while i was playing, she made a string of messes while her father was giving a speech in uptown and the mom was repeatedly disciplining her and she would just take a step to the right and start a new mess right away. She made 11 total messes all in a row!Anyway is this an issue anyone else is having?Edit: forgot to mention that i removed all mods and cc, repaired the game, uninstalled & reinstalled the game, my game is completely up to date, i even started a new save and duplicated the family. I also tested this in another new file with a brand new family and i have the same issue

I have this bug too! My sim and her toddler were at the park the other day when I noticed it. Her mother would scold her, and she'd begin making another mess right after. Kept happening over and over!

All. The. Time. I took my sim and her dog and cat to the pet park in BB. 3 toddlers showed up and all grouped together to make mess after mess. Pre-patch, I had a mod to cut down on the mess issue (kids do it constantly, too) but I guess that's one that hasn't been updated yet. Tbh, I've added several new mods and took out so many mods, I can't recall all the mods I have right now, but this just reminded me it was on my to-do list to check on the less mess mod.

I use the no more autonomous mess mod and it works fabulously. Can't even remember the last time any of my toddlers/children made a mess.

This sounds like it could be a bug that came with the new patch. How is she not spending her time better, with all those skills and discipline attempts?

I don't really have any toddlers in my active saves right now, they all grew up, but I'm still seeing my kids make messes too. Probably not as much as what you're describing though. I wonder if there's a mod that stops this from being an autonomous action.

Some of it depends on their mood....if they are in a sad or angry mood, they will often make messes. Also, if their fun meter is down a little, they seem to get the most fun out of making messes so that is the go-to move.

Sounds like a bug. I don’t have any toddlers I’m playing right now so can’t compare.

For the mod users in this thread, I recently learned that a modder by the name of scumbumbo, on Mod The Sims, has come out of retirement. He has introduced a new mod, the Self-Configurable Autonomy Mod (SCAM). This mod "allows players to alter the autonomy for actions in the game, while it is running. Changes take effect immediately, there is no need to exit and reload the game!" So you can stop any autonomous actions from happening, and there is no limit. MCCC has quite a few of the really annoying ones, but you can't stop them in game by clicking on Sims/objects, and you have to reload. Scumbumbo says he has used his mod with MCCC as well. He is a long time modder, and mods that I have used of his have been stable.

He has also updated a few older mods, so keep an eye out if you used some of them. His newest mod prevents washing dishes in bathrooms.
