I use a mod to prevent relationship culling, the club system to maintain family ties between grownup siblings and between more distant relatives and cousins. I also use the relationship cheat to set relationship levels where I want them (since they seem to decay fast off lot).
We need a friendship function like in Freetime where certain people are not forgotten nor do their levels of friendship or family relationship ever decay (although I would like it to apply to enemies too). I would like to see more relationship options selectable in CAS too. Since they have improved many elements with patches, the gender patch being just one example, I hope they overhaul the family tree/ relationship decay system at some point.
