I honestly don't remember a time when I last visited a museum in any of the TS4 worlds. I just find that there is no point to them, what is unique that can be done at a museum that we can't do at art ...

Absolutely. Some of mine are redesigned though. Some of the base ones are a little boring. But is a good place to go on dates and, of course, if your sims are doing the artist aspiration goals.
