Does anyone else think the maid is pointless now?

lie sims 3 maid and buttlers worked perfect or at last work for most of the peoples if you true have a terrible experience srry but is not the same for everyone.

really if i was to follow some peoples claim here probably i never could be playing sims 3, in the way they claim which the game is terrible and nothing working for anyone.

No, got enough NPCs removed as it is, I don't want another one removed. True maids and bartenders could use some tweaking, but I do not want them removed. But yes I agree Sims 1 and 2 had the best NPCs.

I miss bonehilda too. Yeah, i agree with you all, anyone u hire doesn't do their job, even when u have your own shop!!! I hired someone in my retail shop and they just did press ups all day!!! :@!!!

Tsk, I wish my current maid stole my stuff. Is he scared because like 60% of the population are cops? My sims are too rich. Take their stuff. Please. I'm eyeing you Mr. Patel. Eyeing you and the expensive items around the house you should totally snag.

Earlier in the game, I used to see the maids come in and clean or put stuff away, even though they looked like those troll dolls 90% of the time. Now they're just imaginary things that clean up when the family's out since the house is always clean when they come back. Is it because I made a ghost mansion and he was constantly tense while mopping up ghost urine?

Ye I've noticed that, the maid rarely shows up anymore, i just get a notification saying they've been while i was out. Whats that about?????? -_-

Yes, they are the worst at showing up for work and are pretty much useless to me. I've never had a maid steal, but I did have one that put out a fire on a stove though. Funny how things happen differently in our games. Like bugs some experience that others don't.

Having a maid is especially pointless when you still have to deal with dirty plumbing anyway. I'm still having to cancel my sims' activities so they can immediately clean that dirty shower or whatever, before one of them becomes annoyingly 'uncomfortable', for who knows how long.

The maid is mostly good for cleaning up the breakfast mess (if he shows up) of a large family, when they are late for work and school. He made for good morning conversation once, sitting with my socially-starved mother sim while she had a quick breakfast before she hopped back in bed for some rest before her next shift. And then he cleaned up her plate and left. So weird I see that conversation and the fire incident as fond memories. Never had fond memories in Sims 2. The help did what I expected. They did their job.
