Does anyone else think the maid is pointless now?

I use to get a sim husband cheat on his wife with the maid, but now they never show up -_-

I want my maids to steal. I don't think I've caught them once in the Sims 4 yet.

For those the that like the idea of thieving maids...do not clean your pot and make sure it is nice and stinky for when the maid arrives.

Lol I just miss Kaylynn Langerak from TS2. She needs to make a comeback. Maybe in Get Together, we can get like a ton of NPCs, and all the firefighters and policemen/women, maids, and burglars can go around together in groups. Justine Keaton can be included in the group of policemen and women, for Colton's sake. o:)

Yes, they are useless in this game. Certainly an unnecessary expense. The Sims make their own beds automatically (although I've never had a Sim with the Slob trait, as yet to see if it's any different) and it's far too easy to clean up after them (as the player). Repo man doesn't come, either. So, if you don't have the Simoleons to pay the maid, I doubt there would be any 'real' retribution. I always thought it funny that a maid might take the toilet as payment. :open_mouth:

I use maid one time per week, when my sims become too messy and they do their job, so can't complain :)

Holy crap!! Do they really do this? My sims coffee pot and teapot disappeared from their house and i was wondering what happened. I thought I might have accidentally deleted it without thinking.

Yup, maid doesn't clean dirty tea and coffee pots...he/she just takes them home. Make sure your pots are clean before the maid arrives.

Problem is, in TS4 nobody gives a fudge about their cheating partners. As long as they can eat that pizza and sit on every chair and sofa within a minute, they couldn't be bothered less, even if they tried.
