Does anyone know if winter will kill off the garden plants?

I can't imagine that the devs would purposefully create a problem where the plants are killed for good, but I imagine that there'll be something you need to do in Autumn to preserve them until the following spring, maybe?

Nothing official, just a theory. If you have twitter it might be worth asking one of the simgurus :)
