Does anyone let their kids stay home from school or do a 3-day weekend?

My sims rarely get holidays... perhaps I should consider letting them take time of work and school for once! :D Saying that however, around Christmas time, I did let my children have 2 days off school to pretend that it was Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. I used that day for doing family activities, baking, watching films and having a Christmas Lunch with friends and family!
