Yeah, I don’t like it either. I had one sim die from being mortified, but at least with her death I could sum it up to her being old. I read many people have sims die of “playfulness” which is just “silly” as @Cupid stated. And I agree with @Sha2520032003, laundry has never made me overly excited, and I’m going to guess that is the case for most folks. Dying from a heart attack due to irateness or sadness leading into overwhelming depression makes about the most sense depending on age of sim.
Well technically the chance of that happening in a perfectly healthy individual - regardless of age with no heart problems or illnesses to start with is virtually NIl without something else to cause it - especially now a days. In fact such deaths in perfectly healthy individuals would be looked at with suspicion in real life I'd think, - even in elders when they have no ill health.
Ironically laughter is actual healthy for individuals because of the adorphenes it releases in a body. What they release in the body is in fact very healing and protective of the body - not a killer at all.
About the only emotion powerful enough to kill healthy humans would be extreme fear of some kind - ironically Sims have no fear to speak of and it is the only one that would make any sense at all.
There was a guy in history, forgot who, but he died by laughing at his own joke.
Obviously extremely extremely rare but still happened lol.
Perhaps some underlying - unknown condition, like anurisms, asphyxiation due to low oxygen levels, unknown heart conditions, maybe even a type of allergy reaction - etc, but it's not known in perfectly healthy people is what I mean..
