Yes, if you are outside. You still have neighborhood parks and yards. Outside in the rain should mean that you will get wet. I heard it even affects laundry that is hanging up outside. Sims also still walk, jog, etc....outside.
I don't get why everyone praises sims 3 so much. What good does all of that do when you can't even enjoy playing the game? The buggiest game there is (I tried giving it many chances and even waited until the game was complete). Sims 2 was more fun, why does nobody ever compare things with sims 2?
Agreed with all of this. Sims 2 was addictive at the time. Sims 3 never hooked me. And I personally think its because to some open world/CASt = best sims game @XxAirixX
I gave Sims 3 a chance and I have some expansions (never bothered getting all of them. Did get the pets one as someone gave to me as a gift not too long ago; but ended up returning in since I just can't get the game stable long enough to really play it). The game starts fine at first; a bit slow though at times, it is when reloading a save is when it is nothing but crashes within minutes. I just tried playing it again and sent a firefighter sim who is a witch to that alchemy shop and it crashed! The game barely loaded. I gave up on sims 3 as I tried on multiple laptops and computers (all new at the time and can handle other games fine). It wouldn't be so bad if they made it so it doesn't crash every time you load the game. I can even deal with waiting time (usually around 10-15 mins or so) if I can actually play the game for a few hours.
The sims themselves aren't my favorite. They seemed kind of dull and ugly, so I used mods to make them a bit nicer and all that. It was the Create a style that lagged and the coding for open world seemed like a mess, which is why is was unstable for many people.
In Sims 2, I loved how lively they were. LOL every time a sim woohooed in public, that old lady will hit them with their purse. If one waits too long in line while shopping, they would sort of throw a fit, Santa would come visit every Christmas if my sims leave cookies, etc....I miss all of that. It was a perfect blend of mimicking real life while also having random and silly moments and doing things you can't do in real that makes it so entertaining and not feel like too realistic/bland or a chore like Sims 3 sort of did.
I only stopped playing as it doesn't work that well on my new computer as it seems to have issues with windows 10 as it isn't really that compatible (never ever throw a party in Sims 2 with windows 10. If you thought lagging in sims 3 was slow, it is agony in sims 2. I was hoping that they would fix the issue with the patch; but nothing worked yet).
