Does rain ( from Seasons ) water crops?

I know the rain does water the crops. I'm actually not sure about the snow.

Rain does water the plants in your garden. But I have never seen where snow does. So I don't know if snow melt will water the plants. In fact, I have never seen any puddles left behind after the snow has melted off. So I'm guessing nope, snow does not water the plants. But maybe it might start watering the plants after Cottage Living drops. Providing that one has both packs installed.

@sunman502 and @NationalPokedex thank you for your insight, well if this is an English town it may have a lot of rain hopefully.

Cottage Living was said to be like a Scottish countryside. So I imagine that it will rain a lot in Henford-on Bagley. I will likely buy this pack because it reminds me of where part of my family comes from, which is Wales.

I've had winter plants in my game but I don't think I've ever watered them in the winter. I play a lot in Glimmerbrook where it rains a lot and and I rarely need to water them apart from when first planting the seed. I remember I used to water them more often when I played in Oasis Springs.

The rain definitely waters plants, but I'm not sure about snow. My sim gardener had to water plants in Brindleton Bay many times after heavy snow fall, but I play with long seasons, so it might not apply to those that don't.

Yah @SheriSim57 worlds matter too. For instance if you place a farm on a lot on the big island in Windenburgh you don't have to worry about putting down sprinklers nor watering the garden. It rains so much there, no need. However, if you don't water daily in Oasis Springs - you will have a dead garden - yup hurt my feelings too. Best place for a garden, the plateau in Strangerville before you solve the mystery. I guess the Mother gives and gives.

I really like how Seasons impacts each world differently for gardening (except Strangerville which has its own seasons)

Speaking of world specifics, I've had plants that refused to sprout in Sulani, so now my sim has a garden with native plants only.

Well that's interesting because I've had every type of plant in the game in Sulani, and never had any problem with them sprouting. Now the one issue that I did have with plants in Sulani is that they were still growing even out of season. And this would happen with my garden in any world that my sims live in.
