I filed a bug on the new black hair tone a week ago.
Will edit this as soon as I find my bug, so you can add to it.
In this thread I first noted the issue:

Please add to that, put in more images, and click the 'me too' button so we can get this one pushed up on the priority list. It seems to be affecting the vast majority of hairstyles using the new color, and not just dreads and curls as I had at first thought...
