@stilljustme2 Hard to do the calm down in the mirror trick when the sim that gets hysterical is not the one you are controlling and offscreen doing autonomous interactions. Hysterical gives you very little time to react before it kills, compared to the other emotional deaths.
I can't help but wonder if those of you who never have this problem either don't use laundry, thus reducing available happiness moodlets, or just maintain much more active-control of sims, rotating regularly through them all to keep them more actively controlled. It's playful-while-autonomous that is a problem for me....I've never had a sim die from hysteria while I was actively controlling them.
