Dogs are really annoying!

If your dog is trained and still has to be let out to pee, that is also a bug, but I've heard that adding a doggy door fixes that problem.

I have a doggy door by the front and back doors in my sims' house and the dogs still have to be told to go outside to potty. I've received the notification several times they they have learned but... yeah. Also my sim's cat has learned several times not to jump on counters and eat human food, but he still does it. It's like they "forget" they learned these things and have to be retaught.

Yes! Thanks :) but what I mean is that idk how long it takes for them to learn. I feel like one of my dogs as faster than the other.

Same with my dogs in game. But I just kept doing it and eventually the pop up came up for both. :D

The first one I made was scared of virtually everything. And yeah, it was annoying. The rest are more balanced. It's probably a tuning issue, which I hope they'll address in the future.

They are constantly scared, even though their traits have nothing to do with being cowards. They move their plates, they want to walk all the time and it’s annoying that my sim can’t walk two dogs at the same time. Are some of these bugs? Or are dogs just annoying in this game?

The first dog I had was always scared but she had the jumpy trait. There's a bulldog I have in one of my families that isn't afraid of anything and just watches eb a lot.

It seems like there's a lot of bugs around where your pet is always afraid and the for the training let them pee in the house then scold them it's faster.

I have the potty training bug (dog has the Smart trait which I read is a potential cause) but otherwise my two dogs are pretty balanced. The Active one does need walks often, but I'm usually off my home lot because my main Sim is a vet, so it ends up being one walk a day. And I read the bug reports about the constantly scared moodlet, so I never gave my dog the preventative shot. Also I've never seen them move the dog bowl, which I would actually like to see. :)

I gave my dog the independent trait so it could walk itself and it still wants to be walked all the time. I trained it go use the bathroom outside and it still sits and whines at the door to be let out instead of using the dog door right next to it.

I've noticed that even though my dog whines that it has to pee after being potty trained, if I leave her alone she will eventually go outside to go. Have you waited it out, or are they going in the house if you don't let them out?
Also as far as the constantly scared thing - do you mean from their fears, like the oven being on? Or their portrait is always red and they're yowling because they're scared, and if you ask what's wrong your pop up says they 'just need a moment'? THIS is a known bug that comes from getting them a check up and the preventative treatment at the vet. You can fix it by using the remove buffs cheat, with their sim ID
