It's the toning down that is unfortunate. Some carried on about alien abductions happening so often, that I ended up having to wait ages upon ages before a single Sim of mine got abducted. I refused to purchase Eco Living because I could see it wasn't something I would enjoy. I bypassed other GPs and SPs for the same reason. I would much rather others do the same than to whine and have a feature(s) removed or toned down so drastically it's rarely seen in a game.
