As long as I've used forums, there have been people complaining. Either they're complaining about stuff they don't like or they're complaining about the complainers ;)
If EA negatively (in your view) alter a game because of complaints then IMO, your argument should be with EA
They didn't have to listen - they could have stuck to their guns, held their nerve and left the pack as released
