Can we please try to be civil and not go "I moved my sim in a haunted house and now the ghosts are wreaking havoc and I don't wanna deal with this plz newrf or get rid of em plz n ty." I hate when people buy a fantasy pack then whine about it not being realistic. If you want only the clothing and furniture then go find a mod with all of it added but not the supernatural mechanics. It's this behavior that makes us into fantasy elements feel EA doesn't put effort cuz the loudest part of fandom is everyone dissing fantasy elements. Now if you buy it expect the spectors to get in your face a lot
The only toggle should be game play toggles. However Autonomy is still a thing. And you can toggle that off so that should be enough too. my thing is I don’t care for NPC, townie, Game Generated occults or any Sims for that matter. The only Sims that do matter are the ones I create.
And if I rotate households I would like to see my spellcasters, daemons behave the way wanted Even if I go and visit them, they visit me, or spot them on the market square. But it’s just basic stuff to like fill needs. No I don’t want my sim raining havoc and spawning things for the heck of it either, unless I tell them to... but I still want to see them go about their life. Practicing magic in the background. Challenging friends/enemies to a magical battle. (Although I was hoping it would be more like water balloon/snow/mud ball fights where spellcasters would run around the area and throw spells back and forth rather than standing in one place and taking turns throwing spells back and forth.) But even Using magic to light the fireplace, maybe experiment at the cauldron (not actually create a potion/curse). And I would like human Sims to be able to converse with spellcasters about magic. Spellcaster should be able to “enthuse about magic” with anyone not just other spellcasters. “The risks of magical overload.” And humans should be able to ask spellcaster for magic. “Ask to cast a spell” and “ask to make a potion/Curse.” Like bartending “ask to make drink” or cooking “ask to make a meal” you don’t posses the skills or knowledge or power to do it, so you befriend and ask/manipulate someone who does.
Like that’s the kind of toggle I want if I want magic to be out in the open.
Don’t want magic don’t go looking for it. But the moment magic is revealed, covering it back up should be a difficult task.
Yeah I think the team made sure to give us enough toggles in this pack to suit everyone's play style. Nerf demands are completely unnecessary. I would like to open up a twitter account to start shouting back at the demanding Nerf Club, but it's probably best if I quietly play my game instead. Here's a "toggle" list under the spoiler, as not to spoil it for those who haven't played the pack yet:
1. The Haunted Residential Lot Type: simply switch back to Residential if you do not want paranormal activity on the lot. 2. The Helping Hand: This Hand statue gives you the option to Turn on/off Guidry visits. Not difficult enough? Change to heroic mode to alter game play difficulty when dealing with the haunts. After 24 sim hours you can change back to Guidry's help if it's getting too much for ya. 3. The Paranormal investigator career: Don't want to go through the hauntings to get a Paranormal Investigator license? Buy it as a reward instead. Sure the reward is expensive, but there's always cheating. 4. The Séance table: Do you only want a tiny bit of paranormal activity on your lot without having the Haunted Residential Lot Type active? Use the seance table to get a couple of mild hauntings. Flickering lights are fun.
If interested in the paranormal, folks should ask Guidry the Ghost what to do if they're lost. He pretty much explains everything. I wish he haunted my house, without all the flirty business of course. A resourceful lad so he is.

I'll tell you what's unrealistic - the frikkin' thunderstorms I'm getting practically every night in Brindleton Bay that cut off my power. And every Sim being afraid of thunderstorms and making it impossible to turn out anything of value. The thunderstorms happen more often than the ghosts on my Spooky lot! And when I'm not getting thunderstorms, Landgraab electricity is failing my house.
Wait, I don't see me asking Maxis to nerf thunderstorms.
Isn't the Brave reward trait supposed to help with that? You have to save up some points though. 8000. This pack has me using whims more.
I'm looking forward to seeing what the modders come up with with the circle. I can think the ideas up but I don't know how to do the coding from animations with a spellcaster with their spellbook summoning a demon or on the other hand an angel. Being able to talk to spirit guides. Being able to bind a spirit and so much more. I love the medium's circle best in the game.
You know guys and gals, I've been playing this Get Famous pack for a while now but you know what I don't like? Celebrities, they're really annoying in this game. Maybe I can get EA to remove them if I scream loud enough.

That happened about a month ago and I got so excited I hit the wrong button and ended up at the manage world screen. Of course when I went back in it was gone ??
My poor sister had made her sim go through the science career and follow every tip and trick online to get him abducted for weeks of play. NOTHING. Eventually she just gave up and stopped trying ?
Interesting to hear about the vampire break ins! I'll keep an eye out. ?
I did the same thing, played for so long, and not a single one!

But they don't WANT Guidry the Ghost! He interferes with their perfectly normal, cookie cutter world!
i will make this post as neutral but you need to accept the fact that not all players are the same some buy the packs mostly for the content they bring not the life state i bough paranormal for the hair style clothes and lovely furniture the pack has i have 0 interest in ghost or supernatural added in the pack, and that's why players ask for more toggles when it comes to certain thing in the game.

Well that is fine and all. The thing is that people shouldn't complain because if they don't want paranormal gameplay then don't simply add the haunted lot trait to their home, it is as easy as that. You can still enjoy your CAS items and furniture without ghostly activities. People don't seem to get that.

I think this warrants some investigation! If the devs put this back in, I will be exceptionally euphoric.
Yes, I was watching my friend play the other day and Vlad did his usual "welcome to the neighborhood" call and showed up on the door but it was locked. Some minutes later my friend freaked out because Vlad had somehow gotten inside the house lol! He didn't do any vampiric interactions but he did break into the house and kind of bugged afterwards as he would just stand in one spot and do nothing, even when told to leave he remained in place (perhaps due to the sun). He left on his own some sim-hours later.
