Dream Home Decorator Tips?

I make sure my sim's needs are high. I go ask each member the color, hobby, decor, Simstress, and moodboard questions. I delete/hammer excess items, lights, ect. I try to delete outside rocks, bushes, or walls I don't need if it allows me to. All of this causes more money for the budget. I try to pick pieces according to color and decor for all Sims. I change wall and floor patterns too. I also put in any hobbies they have. If I can't find enough to put in, I just include items they don't have. For example, if there's a kid's room, but I'm doing a living room gig, I put in the living room a toy that's not in the kid's room already.
I always personally show it and select look at this item on all the best stuff and more if I have time.

Great post. I didn't realize it showed likes ect from the map view. I will have to try that.
