Those corner balcony seats are recolours of the ones before. Just different swatches sold separarately
You keep saying that but it is not true. In the photo below I've placed the seat from MFP along with the bow window seats from C&D. Can you point out to me which of the C&D seats the MFP seat is supposed to be the recolour of?

Even though they are derived from the same block model what I am seeing is four seats in four different styles (outdoor, traditional built-in, a more contemporary built-in and a contemporary seat that isn't a built-in but can be placed in a bow window) that use four different meshes. None can be said to be a recolour of the others.
Heck, even the six seater round tables from Laundry Day and Jungle Adventures are more alike.

It's not until view them from side on you can really the difference:

Are you going to criticise the GP team for making a "recolor" of the LD table for the JA pack? If we get a contemporary version of the six seater round table are you going to criticise that for being a "recolor"?
There are plenty of valid criticisms you can make about the MFP pack, that the MFP bow window seat is a recolor of the C&D's seats is not one of them.
The window seat could absolutely be a copy-paste job.
Individual meshes require individual modeling to work. Say I'm making a first-person shooter for example and want to program in a sniper rifle. The sniper rifle needs a mesh to make it a solid object, and then I need to adjust animations so that they sync up properly with a mesh of this type. I would make each part of the gun "solid" and then adjust animations appropriately. Sometimes in first-person shooters online you can see players clip through the end of the rifle barrel, and this is likely because it starts getting awkward if people can't move forward because their rifle barrel is solid and prevents them from getting closer to a wall.
For the window seat, the thing here is that our Sims never interact with the pillows to begin with. I would be interested in seeing how they look when Sims sit on them and fill them up. Why? Because if it's a lazy copy-paste job, you may see Sims clipping through the objects on the more detailed window seats because the accessories aren't actually "solid" and animations weren't adjusted to avoid such clipping. (aka scoot the Sims forward) That's the concern: that the team lacks any passion or care and their constant mindset is just "what's the cheapest and easiest way to produce the pack." Those window seats aren't even the worst offenders either: you picked them out. There are far worse offenders out there that are blatantly lazy, and there are cases where the recycling absolutely affects gameplay too. (Vet having the same bugs as retail)
For the table, yes, I would absolutely 100% complain about that. It's identical and it's a recolor. Were this the Sims 3, we would've been able to make that second table ourselves the moment the first one was released. Now we're being charged for it. This isn't a one-off either. People around here keep rephrasing these recolors as "bonus content" to give the impression this is just extra on top of the already complete project to make it extra special. No: go look at the object count for My First Pet Stuff and you'll see it's the second-lowest on object count in stuff pack history (beating only the first SP for Sims 4, though that one has the excuse of being first and at least all it's stuff was brand new), yet it has an absolutely stunning amount of objects that recycle meshes and textures from old packs. If I'm remembering correctly, there isn't a single CAS sim clothing object in the pack that doesn't use previous meshes.
This isn't some one-off with Jungle Adventures or My First Pet Stuff, they all recycle multiple objects. Browse the forums and you will find examples from City Living, Jungle Adventures, My First Pet Stuff, Cats and Dogs and more.
That's the concern. Why am I supposed to believe the devs actually care about this game when:
-I can find and locate choppy, poorly-done animations with all the recent packs, starting as far back as Fitness stuff. (yes, all post-fitness stuff packs have choppy animations here and there)
-Recycling is becoming more and more prevelant. As stated, My first Pet Stuff doesn't have a single piece of Sim clothing that doesn't recycle a mesh. Vet career recycles aspects from the Doctor career, Scientist career and retail system, INCLUDING the bugs of the retail system. (they couldn't be bothered to fix them for a $40 re-release?? Better believe I can't be bothered to purchase then)
-My First Pet Stuff is "a DLC for a DLC" and has very blatant bits of content cut out or repackaged, as well as having perhaps the laziest design of the entire game. (least objects, most recycled meshes, least effort for a gameplay item)
