What I really love is that blog entry from RF after the backlash of no toddlers and pools on the base game and she said something along the lines of "we built a really strong foundation that will make all of your wishes possible". And then people ask, why can't we have a real bear with OR? And they answer "too hard", what about couples cuddling when sleeping? "too expensive", hmm, ok, cars with proper animations? "hard and expensive". It's just ??? I'm not even mentioning babies stuck to cribs among other limitations this game has. I know the "too hard" joke has become old, but that's literally what they always tell us when we request something.. So, my question is, where is this great engine and strong foundation that is "capable of fulfilling every one of our desires"?
Tired of people taking the bear thing out of context. Again, what was said was that animating a real bear for a game pack just doesn't make sense. It isn't worth the time and resources for them to fully animate a real bear to provide basically nothing but ambiance. Now, if the pack had been about bears, or animals then the animation and time costs would have been worth it.
Ok...? That mindset is not any better. The game pack was called Outdoor Retreat. Nature should be the theme, so why doesn't it "make sense" to have a bear show up on a forest? They couldn't even give us a proper squirrel. Do you really think this type of thing is acceptable on a AAA game?

They could of at least made a real bear tied to a bear cave, similar to how, cow and chickens worked in the Sims 3. :(
For what though? What does that add? You aren't milking bears are you? hehe.
