Just what is it? Where is this "Smart-Sim Technology"? Where is this engine they were boasting about?
Apparently the engine doesn't support beards very well. It's "more limiting" than Sims 3 engine. Why? You said it was going to be better. Is the engine just all hype because it originated as the engine for a poorly made online game?
Looks like the engine can host partying just well. Maybe it's because you built it only to hold your vision? Why aren't my sims smarter like you said? Sure, the stories are weirder, but not because they're so smart... it's because they're so dumb.
Why am I seeing loner sims working out at the gym? Why are my slob sims cleaning up after themselves? Why is my family-oriented sim seen partying and alone? Why is my good sim such a meanie? WHY? Is this what your new engine was built for?
I don't know what's more shallow: the game or the callous disregard for fans.
Thanks... sorry about the rant. I'm just a wee bit frustrated at the moment.
As much as I like the sims 4 I agree...the traits the sims have do not stay true to what they are, I've complained about before but the devs don't give a crap.
Almost half my sims are good but yet if I leave them unattended, I see them do a rude greet or trolling the forums, especially my teenaged good sims...the traits in sims 4 are broken...nothing like sims 3 traits.
Maybe they are actually working on that and will fix it with a patch?
If that is the case do you really think it is acceptable?
Traits are fundamental to the game. They are the basics and are incredibly important. Traits are part of the core of sims' A.I. and the fact that they influence little, means the A.I. is poor.
Traits are supposed to dictate our sims' personality. Traits are the core of our Sims' personalities and our sims' different personalities is what the game is supposed to be about.
I'm sorry but if they are working to fix traits, this is not good enough. The traits should've worked from release. The fact they influence very little, to me, makes the game broken.
If they can't get the basics right, what hope is there for the game?
Oh, believe me, they borked this game to high heaven. I was just offering the question to someone who is playing the game and liking it. What EA needs to do is pull copies not yet sold, and start to rebuild the game from the game engine on up. And actually make a continuation to the Sims series. Then those who have already purchased the game gets a free upgrade.
With their constant updates etc that should be easier than ever before. Agreed.
