Yes, it's so anoining. I'll have my sim live in Forgotten Hollow or some unrelated world & my sim would be invited to one of the Sulani Festivals, the City Festivals & the Snowy Escape Festivals at the same time. It's so d.u.m. :s
...Again, it's the opposite. You need the notifications the LEAST if you play IN the pack they belong to. If you chose to never t ravel to another world that is your choice, but it is one HUGE benefit of Sims 4 compared to Sims 3: To freely move between worlds at any time.
To argue that the devs should destroy that benefit is indeed "D.U.M".
It's a huge benefit to YOU but it doesn't have to be for others, I have all the EPs and I get 497857 notifications every hour or so about repetitive lacking gameplay festivals in other worlds, it immersion breaking to me and I CAN'T turn it off, no mods even for it..
I didn't ask EA to remove it without making optional, it should on by default but also you have a choice to turn it off so other people than you can enjoy their game too..
I can respect the wish for a switch, but to outright argue that being able to move between world isn't a benefit is just false. OBJECTIVELY false.
It's like playing a shooter game and arguing that having a choice of weapons isn't a benefit, because you, personally, only use a single one.
Moving between worlds is nice idea that gives more freedom and optional, some people like to stay one world like playing in sulani, all island world away from other worlds thousands of miles so it's weird to keep hearing about a snowy faaar world festivals, cuz some people like to play as much reasltic as they can..
Realistic players make a huge chunk of sims players honestly..
We are being regarded as privileged beings who can hop over to another place when we feel like it. That's what modern billionaires, millionaires do, (or did do pre Pandemic)! We are their rulers aren't we? ;) o:) - graventh84 years agoSeasoned Ace

Actually, I like getting the notices. I often have my Sim teens attend the festivals that came with CL. (And for some of the YAs/Adults, it can make a fun date, too.) One of these days I will send my Sim family for one of the festivals in Mt. Komorebi. I don't like apartment living, so since I do not have any Sims living there, I wouldn't know when the festivals were happening. A toggle would work. I can support that idea. I am of the firm belief players should have the choice. :)
If they do it at all, it should be a choice to disable. I personally would never make it to any of them if it wasn't for the notices and I usually go. I don't see it as a problem. You just ignore it like anything else if you don't want it. I like it the way it is. - Simburian4 years agoSeasoned Ace

I feel for you! I wonder how they get their phone calls there, being off the grid as they are! Mind you they might have an emergency line just in case the volcano erupts! B) - Sketch7934 years agoSeasoned Ace

City Living has 5 festivals that happen once every two weeks, giving 5 notifications in 14 simdays. Snowy Escape has 3 festivals. Two of them also happen only once every two weeks but the third happens every week, giving 4 more notifications in 14 simdays. That's a total of 9 notifications in 14 simdays. If you're getting 497857 per hour, you must be playing at a speed of over 770,024 simdays per hour. Exaggerate much?
For the record, you did ask EA to stop the notifications completely except for the worlds they come from. It's in your thread title. "EA please stop festivals notifications in non festival worlds."
Also for the record, I haven't said anything against adding options for festival notifications. That was you trying to put words in my mouth. - LadyKyn4 years agoSeasoned AceAny notifications I get seems like I barely see it before it's gone. :# When I'm playing I barely notice them majority of the time. I always end up going into the notif wall and deleting everything on rare side it's spammed less I have mods installed for other stuff.
Still wish I could see festivals and such appear on calendars too. - friendsfan3674 years agoSeasoned Newcomer

Yes please make it possible for us to disable festival notifications if we don’t want to see them.
In the meantime, I am in need of a mod to turn off the festival notifications that came in SE. I have mods to disable the rest already.
i think mc has something that turns them off. - graventh84 years agoSeasoned Ace

Every day there's a festival that happens weekly not every two weeks there's only like a day or 2 that dont have festivals from CL, every single day i get festivals notifications if its not from CL then it's from SE.
For example flea market festival on Tuesday, Wednesday is spicy festival, Sat is romance and..the list goes on..I dont know the excat order for them or days they fall on but they're on consecutive days..
I get so many festivals notifications per day I don't know if they're from CL or other packs cuz I have all the packs..
Like I get flea market notification then less than one hour another festival pop up from snowy escape, while I'm in living in sulani completely irrelevant to constantly keep getting reminded about them..
I'm not going to mention the constant eco and NAPS notifications even when I turned them all off in options cuz they're not related to festivals but they're equally annoying when u turned them all off and still getting all the notifications..
You seem to not read where I said they be on by default but a toggle to turn them off if you don't want them..but some people got mad and shouted no EA PLZ KEEP THEM and their tone sounded like they're not fan of option toggle and wanted to force it on everyone..
You seem not to mind with adding the option toggle but others seem not a fan since only their gameplay is what important.. - graventh84 years agoSeasoned Ace

Ohh they annoy me when they keep using their phone there..I'm on my way to get them the technophobe trait but that means I cant use power which means I have to get them that ugly off the grid fridge ?
Just waiting for the dam volcano to erupt ?? - Maybe it is my mods then, but in my game Flea Market is at every second Sunday, never at Tuesday, and not weekly.
