Eating cake with candles on.

I thought sims couldn't eat birthday cakes from the fridge if they had candle on them but they are.

I open the fridge to take a cake out 'that I made earlier' to age a sim and find they have been helping themselves.
Though if I direct a sim to take a slice it says that it would be rude to tuck into the cake before the birthday sim has a chance to blow the candles out.
Is anyone else finding this happens?
  • This happened in my game as well. Sims can still blow out the candles even though there are pieces taken out of the cake, but they aren't supposed to be eating cake with candles on it. It usually happens when sims "get leftovers" from the fridge.
It's a bug and you can press "me too" on this bug report: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Bug-Reports/OPEN-Sims-eat-cake-with-candles-on-it/td-p/6894767

Thanks, I added a me too :) Weird though, I can't do anything with the cake after a piece has been taken out. There is no option to blow candles out, I just get a tooltip message saying it would be rude.
  • I don't think I have this happen it is a bit odd though. Is it just that they are rude and Sims and naturally rude. Or are their needs low? Or is it because of the traits they have?
