Eco Lifestyle: what NAPs do you use?

Everything except Sharing is Caring and Bags on Heads. These two are the only game features I want to see nerfed.

You don't mind the random pushups (please ma'am this is a restaurant), violins (which doesn't make sense for non-musician sims), random fights, random making out?

Safe ones are Self sufficiency, Tech support and the two specific to the Evergreen Harbour (Modern development and Green initiative).

Maybe also Green gardening (put a planter box and insect box somewhere), Clean energy and Upcycling initiative (buy the required objects), Eco friendly appliances (need eco upgrade parts).

Juiced community makes sims in the neighborhood (excluding the active household) dazed, what adds extra steps in socializing with them to get them back into Happy. Water and energy conservation cause power/water outs, so are definitely intrusive. All NAPS I didn't mention force townies (and your own sims, if you have free will on) to perform certain actions.

Of the intrusive ones I like creative arts best, because it pushes townies to do the take photos animation now and then. It makes them look like tourists.

If you turn off NPC voting and don't have your household vote, your primary neighborhood will not have NAPs. I'm less sure about other Neighborhoods, but I have NPC voting off and haven't run into any of the obvious ones in the course of play.

Edit to add - just as a warning, it will still say that X NAP was voted in, but when you go to check via mailbox as to which NAPs are active, it will show none.

I like to use Clean Energy Production one in combination with off the grid lot trait, I think it adds nice challenge in creating and live on a self-sustainable lot. On such lots I don't use the appliances that function off the grid. This one is my favorite.

The water and power conservation can add some challenge under some circumstances. The ones that can increase bill too, if you play in a way that doesn't accumulate wealth fast.


The rest (aside from eco living world specific) I don't use that often. The ones that influence skills are nice in some cases, even if for just role playing purposes. I wish the fitness one would do something else than sims randomly doing pushups, that got annoying pretty fast. The sharing is caring one got a big X from me, doesn't suit my game playing style at all. I'm too scared to try Foodies Unite, don't want sims start cooking maniacally non-stop.

@jyotai You could try MCCC Tuner. In theory it can diasable the autonomy of any action, including "watch fight" (or whatever it is called), but I found it doesn't always work. Tried to disable reactions to soccer ball juggling, but the sims still do it. But most of the time it works like a charm.

Anything related to gardening is usually pretty safe. Same with juicing. Nothing ever happens on my lots when juicing is a NAP. Otherwise, I don't mind the power/water outages happening occasionally. It gives me an extra level of challenge that I enjoy honestly. Sometimes the power will get shut off, and I'll need to figure out how to make a Thanksgiving dinner without a stove.

The work naps that affect salary gain in specific careers.

None of them are really useful - I do use them, but I can barely remember what they are, that's how little they affect my game - partly because I nerfed the more annoying ones with mods. The eco energy and appliances ones is ok, but they don't really do anything interesting gameplay wise, so are still pretty useless.
