How do I get rid of it, I just had a pop saying that he feels death is near, how can I stop this??

Ok, so your sim got electrocuted. One more time before this moodlet expires and sim is dead.
To get rid of the moodlet, you can do the following:
1. Wait until this moodlet expires.
2. Because it is Dazed moodlet, have your sim take a nap. Sleeping will quickly reduce the time, making it go away quickly.
3. One of the drinks sims can buy from the market is Faraway Fizz. Drinking it will remove this moodlet.
If you don't want to get sim attacked by fire flies and lightning bugs, max out the culture skill. It only has five levels, so one day spent using unique interactions with locals should do it. Also having objects called Drake's Fire Quencher for fire flies and Lightning Insulation Powder for lightning bugs also helps sims to get these bugs away.
