Pretty sure all those are friendly/platonic prompts, not necessarily romantic.

The romantic festival one seems suspicious as your sim is newly married, but it's not really when you consider that the game doesn't really flag/filter romantic relationship statuses for those text/call prompts (at least to my knowledge).

No, but I might now. LOL I had dearly hoped for a Stalker/Out-of-control Fan that would chase him. IE The opening scenes from A Hard Day's Night. Instead, the Obsessed fans do try to kiss him, and when he thwarts their attempts, they stomp their feet and sometimes take a whiz, naked right in front of anyone who is around. Mostly Paparazzi, sometimes his wife, sister and/or their mother. And they leave tiered cakes and trash piles in their wake. And plates of Ambrosia. (All thanks to a mod, of course.) At one point, he sold twenty plates of the Ambrosia @ §2500 each. Not a bad return when you think about it, since he can record an album for §7500.

Perhaps not, but it does make for an interesting story, in the long run. Fodder for a writer. :) He gets invitations left, right and sideways as it is, even before the SP was added. I just found it odd that Eliza Pancakes called him. She's not played much of a role in my game, to date. This was out-of-the-blue, if you will.

Maybe she is just being friendly? I mean, this is Eliza Pancakes ...

then again, in my last save, I've been noticing family drama. First, her and Bob hid their toddler son Iggy from us. I found him in the gallery! So I replaced the family to make sure Iggy was part of Willow Creek. Then, I recently found another one of her children in the gallery. A teenage boy, also named Iggy, who looks nothing like Bob... I brought him home too. Don't know what to make of it. In my games they always have girl babies and I name them after confectionary pancakes like Blueberry, Cherry, Maple, Sugar lol

I did something similar. In my game, Eliza had an affair with an alien and had a blue skinned hybrid kid who I named "Blueberry Pancakes." Ironically he doesn't have any Pancakes blood in him (assuming thats Bob's last name that Eliza married into) but it was too cute to pass up.

@GalacticGal I think you can play that interaction out in your head any way that fits your storyline.

I've had one of my Sim's brothers issue the same invitation to check out the Sakura Tea to her; there's certainly no romantic intent there. My Sim used the effect of the tea to paint a decent Flirty painting that earned her some welcome Simoleons. None of the eligible partners at the Festival caught her eye.

But, at the same time...when I've played a single male Sim, Mrs. Pancakes is one of the Simgals who seems to turn up whenever he's out and about. She's often getting her flirt on, too.

Sims do seem to have a strange ability to know the numbers of every Sim they meet, don't they? :smile:

It will be interesting to see if Eliza keeps chasing Erik, or if the lack of a response to her call gave her a hint. After all, he's far from the only Sim in the sea.

interesting to read this thread, never knew there was anything to discover about the Pancakes, as my first impression was that they were a miserable couple who lack the gumption to do the right thing and split up.

I don't know what it is about Eliza that makes me dread to see her in a Welcome Wagon so I never settle in Willow Creek but she's the kind of woman I'd want to avoid on sight, irl. The one who comes at you with a covered dish and puts one foot in the door when you open it. *shudder*
