Enjoying get famous?

I have been playing it for a couple hours and I have to say I am enjoying it more than I expected. The fame system is a lot of fun to work with and the different approaches you can have to building it up is impressive> The thing I like most are the random quirks you can get! Love how they affect your sim in different ways.

I promised myself I'd wait til January, after the holidays to buy it. Then my hubby asked how I was liking the new expansion as well...I broke down and went ahead and bought it. :blush: I haven't gotten to play much of it but my general thoughts at the moment: I like that it doesn't seem too aggressive (the sims 3 superstar was fairly aggressive about their fame system/celebrity system) Its early on yet and my sim's aren't actors, their a Chef and a Sports person, but it seems slim enough that it won't be too annoying later on when the new wears off. I don't see instant press hounds on my lawn at all hours of the day and night either, so for me, that's a plus. The new hair and clothing are cool, but I've yet to explore the whole of the new CAS stuff. I'm sure it's great.

Its pretty fun but it has its fsir share of complaints.

The world is WAY too unnecessarily small. There are PLENTY of fake decoration houses that look really nice, but I would rather have as a lot.

I also dont like how you HAVE to pick certain perks before you can pick others.

For example to get fan mail i need to get the completely un related videos give more fame perk.

I was going to try and play a game, but the bug with the ageing is such a put off at the moment :(

It's really fun and it getting famous is not that easy anymore and u can't just become famose if you don't want to. It add's a lot of depth in this game.

Getting famous and getting fame points is definitely not easy!
My sim was in the max of the live streaming career and I wanted to get her to the 3rd fame level before I switched her to acting. I gave up at level 2. She would do charity streams, make memes, go to bars and use her phone to get fame points. Other than that I’m enjoying it. I was having trouble juggling between 4 sims, 2 adult sims trying to get famous and taking care of 2 kids is just not easy!

I’m not happy to play until the aging bug is fixed as it’s so game breaking, so... I guess I’ll know what the game is like when they patch that.

From what I've seen on Sims VIP its from the patch rather than the pack. Still, it's a definite game breaker. Was wanting to test the terrain tools, but holding off until the bug is thoroughly squished. Gives more time to research the pack.

I really like it, which is saying something since I've definitely got the cas age bug if it were more extreme I'd avoid playing but it's been minor and I don't need a lot of makeovers right now. I love the world, it's very pretty I think I'll play more in a bit I need to stalk some celebrities in first person and think about where to move the Goths in.

I spent all day playing it. That's something I haven't done in quite some time. I've stated before that I was already, on my own, through the use of mods, trying to recapture fame and a singer career. Thanks to GF, I am getting what I wanted, without the mods. :) I am anxious to experiment with the acting career. Once my singer gains another star and/or ages up to YA, whichever comes first I shall launch his acting career.
