Religion = My sims don't have one.
Honestly, I just like creating characters and having a diverse neighborhood. I create characters of all ages, races, various ethnic backgrounds, various sexual preferences etc. I suppose this does reflect my own environment. I grew up in a multi-racial family, married into another multi-racial family, and live in a very diverse area where people are very accepting of things like interracial relationships and homosexuality.
Re: Holidays. I liked the idea of "Snowflake Day," "Spooky Day" etc. in TS3. That's basically how I think of it. They celebrate holidays in their little world of SimNation. Some bear resemblance to our own. But I don't consider them religious at all.
