Ethnicity
How do you approach ethnicity in your game? I try to have diverse Sims. I see diversity in my town and world around me, I want the Sims to be diverse too. Diversity is beautiful and it bugs me if I notice most or all of my Sims are the same color.
Do you avoid playing, marrying, creating, or interacting with Sims of certain ethnicity? No
What personal/cultural ideals do you fell you impose on your Sims? I have no idea
Do you create characters of a different ethnicity than your own and give them stereotypical personalities, hairstyles or clothing? I don't think so, I hope not.
Do your Sims closely reflect your personal ethnicity and cultural values in gameplay? Sometimes yes, sometimes no
Do you incorporate socio-economics when creating Sims of various ethnicity? No I don't think about it. Each family and Sim is just different.
Sexuality
How do you identify your Sims in regards to sexuality and gender? I like to have a mix of straight, gay, lesbian and bi Sims. I've had some ace ones as well.
When and how do you choose your Sims sexual preference/identity? In CAS or when they are children or teens.
Do you avoid creating LGBT/SGL Sims or do you incorporate them actively? I actively incorporate them
Do most of your Sims or your main Sim reflect your sexual identity? Several do (i'm bi) but not all
How do you feel about playing romantic actions with a Sim of a different gender or sexual preference than you? Love is love, doesn't matter to me
If playing a couple of opposite genders, do you engage certain romantic interactions with one gender? No, I just go with what makes sense with their personalities or the storyline.
In same gender couples, do you place masculine and feminine roles on them? I probably have but didn't mean to.
Religion
Did you notice the absence of the word "Christmas" from The Sims team and do you have any thoughts on that? Yes. There are many different religions and you give something to one you have to do all of them, so I think it's great. Personally i'm Wiccan so to me it's a Yule tree so calling it a Christmas tree would bug me. By calling it a holiday tree it can encompass everything.
Do you incorporate religion/spirituality into your gameplay? Sometimes.
Do you view yourself as a God or eternal being among your Sims? Sometimes.
How do you view/observe life and death in your gameplay? Same as real life. It's a part of it. I may miss my Sims when they go but life goes on with the generations. Once in a blue moon I may make a ghost of a Sim or something to keep them around. Normally Sims just die of old age unless for a storyline.
Do you consider your Sims to be of a certain religion? Sometimes I do, sometimes I just plum forget about it.
