I play on ultra settings. I use MCCC and UI Cheats Extension. I have no CC for CAS or build mode. I have all the packs installed.
I play offline unless I access the gallery. I use the options menu in the "Other" tab to go offline. I have windows in Game Mode to stop background tasks while I play. I clear in game notifications since Eco. They cause lag now if I let them build up. I don't have lag (stutter) while playing if I do the things I mentioned.
It only lags going into and out of build mode since the patch right before Eco came out. I pause the game before going into build mode. It takes about 30 secs for build mode to load. Before it seemed almost instant. It takes almost 40 sec for the game to respond after leaving build mode. An another 20-30 sec after I take the game off pause for me to be able to interact with the game.
While in build mode I place an object and it clunks now and my mouse sticks to the object (lags) 2-3 secs. Build mode is now cumbersome with the some new sound effects.
If my Sims travel the loading screen time has increased from about 10-20 sec to about 40-50 sec. I have MCCC set to pause the lot when loading so once my Sims land and I take the game off pause it takes 30 to 40 sec for the game to respond and Sims start moving. Before it was almost instant.
Setting the game to lower settings does not help the lag I do have on Ultra settings.
