Just give me something to create my own worlds/towns/neighborhoods whatever! EA's are junk for my playstyle - I need large lots and a lot of them. The smaller lots are really only good for nonresidential lots in my game lol. My playstyle is severely restricted by not being able to design my own worlds - even if it were just a template I could stamp lots on!
20x30 lots are just too small for me. I just don't bother with them, it's not worth my time. I feel penned in with no room.
Here, here!! I like to have large backyards, lots of trees and other landscaping, and big, beautiful houses. For that, I need larger lots...and TS4 is very stingy with those. And, in the worlds we get, those large lots are usually taken up by the developers' pre-made lots and sims, with no option to buy a lot that complerely bulldozes the junk on it so you can just get the land, making it impossible to just boot up a new save and plop your sims down on a nice, big lot without cheats or wrangling with Manage Worlds.
Keeping a blank reserve save on the side is a clunky work-around which involves always having to remember to choose "Save As" the first time you save a new game started from that blank template, and manually evicting pre-made sims and bulldozing pre-made lots in your reserve save every time you get a new expansion with a world included. It's a real pain, and it's not a suitable replacement for even a minimalist, TS2-style suite of blank templates. So, even just having the option to start a new game with varying levels of population and pre-builtness would be a huge upgrade at this point. It makes no sense that we don't even have a rudimentary "Start with Empty Worlds" option.
