Evil Butler?
My celebrity Sim, Erik Cantrell, just hired a live-in butler. This was his first chance since his younger brother and his wife finally moved out on their own. Erik's oldest three children decided to c...

I've had enough Butlers in my game in the past to know that some are really great at their jobs and are dedicated to it, whereas others are just earning that paycheck, while enjoying living and working in such a posh Manor, you know? I had Erik fire the evil one and got a much better person in her place. Takashi Miura was an Elderly Sim, which troubled me. I play on Long and if he's old, now, he won't be 'long' for this world. So, since I use MCCC and have learned you can at least change the age and clothing of a Sim that isn't active, I decided to change his age down to Adult. Hopefully, he'll be around for Sim days to come. My family just learned that Grandpa Golden had passed away. This affects all of the Cantrells, since the oldest three boys married the Golden triplets, so they share in-laws. Erik had the option to grieve with Takashi and I was stunned and elated at his response. It was quite touching and so rare in this cultural climate. "I'm sorry for your loss, Erik. I will keep you and your family in prayer." That's when I decided to age him down. He's a Keeper. :)
I've also noticed I only get good results by praising a butler and that they don't do a better job after a reprimand. Especially back when butlers had a real tendency to just stand by the bar and drink I always hoped reprimand would be helpful but it never was. I switched tactics and basically walked over and praised the butler for a great job(at drinking, I guess) and suddenly he started cleaning and making sure food was made.
