I had his younger sister accept the offer to graduate early. I decided to let Erik go the whole way, as he already went through high school on Vulcan, where they used to live. I wanted to take him, specifically, through the whole HSY experience. Now I'm really angry. He went to school on the day he was set to age up, I didn't age him up early or anything. I read something, somewhere that suggested they would simply graduate on the weekend after they age up. What was I supposed to do, turn aging off until the next weekend? They can't attend high school as YAs. This whole thing is bogus and I'm not at all happy about it. I did get the notice that Erik will have a hard time finding a job unless he gets a diploma online. (That's a crock and a half.) The kid is already a Global Superstar, who has won four Best Song Accolades in a row!
Sorry, he's my first one to age up since I started this 'Flashback' Save. In my main save he has his Distinguished Fine Art(s) Diploma from Britechester-U. I just wanted to take him through HSY because I thought it would be fun, and it has been up to this point. - LaBlue03143 years agoSeasoned AceThat's rough.
- SilentK0083 years agoSeasoned AceHmm… see if he can still attend Uni. It might just be a faulty text message?
- Briana25263 years agoSeasoned AceExactly I didn't age up my teenage sim I just clicked on the graduating early and then the message came dropping out of highschool and I'm like since when is graduating early dropping out???

Fact of the matter is, Erik did NOT drop-out. He aged up on the day he was set to age up. This is bogus and I'm not at all a happy camper. - telemwill3 years agoSeasoned AceI would definitely report this as a bug. It's so discouraging to read this. I was originally excited about the new pack, but I don't want it if it's going to be so buggy. I hope you can work around this problem, and I hope the Sims team fixes these issues soon! I am afraid I will miss out on getting the special items because it's taking too long for the bugs to be fixed.
- GalacticGal3 years agoLegend@telemwill Yes, I am greatly discouraged. I'm going to do what was suggested above. Wait until the coming Sunday rolls around and see if he graduates. If he does, then players should know this may be the way it plays out. If he doesn't, I will remove mods to see if somehow they are interfering with the desired gameplay. I will do a game save recovery in order to catch him prior to the day he ages up. But, yeah, I was very excited about this pack up front, unhappy that other Teen Sims in my game don't show up at school (but then again that's always gone on. If you're not playing a household, nobody goes to work, let alone to school. It is what it is. I was hoping for more from the small mod I grabbed, Choose Your High School Classmates. I either did something incorrectly, but my target Sim has yet to show up. She's a triplet and both of her sisters have shown up to the Prom, where one shows up at school rather consistently. In order to have her show up at Prom, after my active Sim asks her, I have to have him contacted her to hang out on lot.

Now, see I allowed his younger sister, whom I just aged up to Teen myself, to go to school for one day. She got the offer to graduate early and I got nothing negative for her having done so. In fact, there isn't even the chance for her to gain a diploma online. So, I'm guessing that part worked appropriately. Erik busts his buns since the last week in Summer, they are now into winter, and he ages up and is called a disappointment and a DropOut. Face/palm. - GalacticGal3 years agoLegend

The ability for him to enroll is there. But since this Sim has already done the whole Uni experience, I have no desire to take this one through it again, just now. This was only to be a flashback so I could take my favorite Sim through the high school experience. I even decided to share his journey now, rather that wait until his eldest ages up to Teen and work the flashback portions into the current gameplay. Since they have 'fixed' the aging bug, I am just about ready to go back to said Main save. I was just trying to work out where to conclude this flashback save. After graduation, or after the wedding, which came in the Main save in the short time between hs graduation and going on to Uni.
