Exotic Goldfish: Bought Not Caught

I had caught the Exotic Goldfish in the game before, but I can't remember where. So I had sent my sim out fishing everywhere in the game trying to catch this fish, but never did. So I had ended up purchasing the fish by clicking on a fish tank. I had wanted to have all the fishes in the fish tanks to have been caught by my sim. But that's not going to happen now, since I had to buy the Exotic Goldfish.
For future references: Has any one caught the Exotic Goldfish in the game? If so, do you remember where it was that your sim had caught this fish? :)

    Hello.
    I think that you can only buy the exotic goldfish in aquariums . In the simsvip spa day guide, it is listed as only being available in aquariums.

    I caught them but don't remember where...i think in one of the hidden spots, I have two and have never bought fish.

    I caught them too, just don't remember where exactly...pretty sure it was in a neighborhood.

    Yeah, you can buy the exotic goldfish. Just like I did, by simply clicking on the aquarium and choose to purchase fish. But I much rather have had caught the fish because all the other fishes that my sim has in their fish tanks were all caught. :(

    If someone is still trying to find the exotic goldfish, my sim caught it in the sylvan glade secret lot using apple as a bait.

    It can also, as far as I remember, be caught in Sulani. I've gotten more than 20 types of fish from the spot near the Wreckage alone.

    You can pretty much catch any fish currently in the game there in Sulani. I have caught the exotic goldfish many times in the game since my last posting on here. But I know that I haven't caught the exotic goldfish in Sulani yet, since I had just got that pack and haven't had the chance to play it yet.

    Its absolutely my favourite place to fish :) There are very few fish you can't catch there, like the Tambaqui from Selvadorada. In Ohan'ali Town, there is a fishing "festival" with a stall where you can buy several other fish, like the Red-tailed Black shark and the red/blue crawdads from Granite falls and many others. Also, if you have Realm of Magic, the spellcaster familiar will bring gifts, also the Exotic goldfish, along with trout, koi, angelfish in addition to plants/metals/MySims.
