I don't know if this will work but maybe you can put the chef station in a basement or a room that you're not going to use, if that doesn't bother you. Your sim will be able to make the dish with a normal stove. Or at least I've seen my sim do that autonomously when I tell him to solve his hunger need. You will only need the chef station just to get the option which is silly but yeah. Lemme just check in game and see if this works.
